Home & Garden

Anything about home & garden will show up here. This may include my DIY projects (including the bad), recipes I’ve tried and maybe even a little container gardening. All of these things (and many more) will show up here.

Design Appreciation & Inspiration

This section is devoted to the things that make me stop and go, “awwwww” or “ohhhhh”.

Gizmos & Gadgets

I find great joy in discovering items that I haven’t seen before. I find even greater joy in discovering items that will make my life easier. This area is for all of those little discoveries.

From My Perspective

Periodically those I devote a majority of my time to (a/k/a “my family and friends”) will do things I feel I need to share or document. This is where those stories will land. My skateboarding bulldog will also frequent this area.

Causes

There are two causes that are particularly close to my heart. This is where I”ll share information and stories about them. I’m sure over time other causes will be addressed here as well because afterall it’s just cool to do that.

Mom & I (circa 1970)

In 2000 I found out that I was high-risk for both breast and ovarian cancer. It was during this time that I felt alone and dealing with a subject not many people understood. Thankfully I found FORCE: Facing Our Risk of Cancer Empowered. FORCE helped me connect with other women that were going thru the same issues. To give my thanks I’m doing an online fundraiser. Please click on this link to learn more about FORCE, my involvement with the organization and/or to donate. I’d love your help.  You can make a difference.
