Welcome to Think Outside the Box.  Don’t be fooled this is not just another blog.  Ok, so maybe it is.  Well, actually it is.  But it’s my blog and that means it’s very important.  I’m sure your going to find many pearls of wisdom here.  I’m sure it will change your life.  But even if you don’t and even if it won’t I sincerely hope you like it and come back often.  

This site is divided into six main categories; Home & Garden, Design Appreciation & Inspiration, Gizmos & Gadgets, Interesting Tidbits, From My Perspective and Causes.   A synopsis of each is listed below:

Home & Garden:
Anything about home and garden, will show up here. DIY projects that I complete, will show up here. Recipes and food stuff, will show up here. Herbs and container gardening, will show up here. Lots of stuff, will show up here.

Design Appreciation & Inspiration (A&I):
This section is devoted to the things that make me stop and go, “awwwww” or “ohhhhh”.  You can expect residential and commercial items since I have an interior design degree and am kind of wired that way. But I’m not limited to only those forms.  Heck, if I find appreciation or inspiration in an acorn or a paperclip it’s going to show up here. 

Gizmos & Gadgets:
I’m a nerd at heart.  I love gadgets.  Especially geeky techy ones.  I find great joy in discovering items that I haven’t seen before and are within reach of acquiring (meaning they do not cost an arm and a leg!).  I find even greater joy in discovering items that will make my life easier.  This area is for all of those little discoveries. 

Interesting Tidbits:
Sometimes I’ll stumble upon something that just shocks me.   This is where those little tid bits will land.  Most of the time the information here will have no relavance to anything. The only reason it’s here is because my visceral reaction was something along the lines of “Oh my gosh, I can’t believe I didn’t know that!” (accompanied by the palm of hand smack in the middle of my forehead).  

From My Perspective:
This is more of the personal side of the sit, the ”family area”.  Periodically those I devote a majority of my time to will do things I feel I need to share or document.  Feel free to browse, or not.  It’s completely up to you!  TEASER:  This is where you will find videos and information on our skateboarding bulldog.

Causes:
There are two causes (with two corresponding organizations) that are particularly close to my heart so this is where I’ll share information about them.  I’m sure over time other causes will be addressed here as well because it’s cool to do that.  

Now, having said all of that, please note that everything mentioned above is not all in there yet.  Soon I will be bringing some classic  post from my original  blog.  But, to be real I’m in the process of setting up this site which requires a lot of tweaking.  It’s been awhile since I’ve messed with HTML so please bare with me.  Plus, I’m living my life which means I don’t have infinite amount of time to tweak.  I probably should take the site “down” or at the very least put up that annoying “construction” gif but honestly I don’t know how to take it down and I don’t like those gifs.  So, for better or worse, you will have to deal with ongoing changes and addition of content.  Just think on the bright side, at least for a bit there will something new!  I’ve heard that’s a good thing when it comes to blogs.  So, please come back often. It’s going to be fun! 

P.S.  To help you navigate the site and understand what I’m talking about, I decided it might be a good idea to share with you some pseudo names and acronyms you will stumble upon as you read.  Most likely I’ll add to this list as we go along so remember to check back here if you have no idea what I’m talking about.  Enjoy!
